The Outreach Committee has initiated a food drive for the Saskatoon Food Bank which will run from Sunday, October 7th until Sunday, October 28th to coincide with Thanksgiving. The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre receives no core funding. They rely on the generosity of our community to operate. Each month the food bank provides emergency food to 20,000 people in Saskatoon and area (10,000 of which are children).

A barrel has been set up at the back of the church to receive your food donations. Although all non-perishable food donations are greatly appreciated, the Saskatoon Food Bank is in most need of infant formula, peanut butter, whole grain pastas and cereals, canned foods such as vegetables, fruit, beans, fish, meats, hearty soups and stews, and gluten free foods. Monetary donations are also gratefully received. By working together to fill the barrel, we can make a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbours.
